Solar is the most bankable of the renewable technologies and the most contested. Cost curves have done their work. Competition has moved from whether a project can be built to whether it can be connected, consented and contracted on a timetable investors will underwrite.
That shift changes what capital wants to see. Grid position, land rights and route to market now carry more weight than modelled yield. Revenue mix matters as much as revenue level, and a project with a partly contracted offtake will usually clear the market ahead of a merchant equivalent at the same internal rate of return.
We look at development pipelines, single assets approaching construction, and operating portfolios seeking recapitalisation or acquisition. Introductions are made only where the requirement is clearly defined and the underlying documentation exists.
Categories of capital, not named relationships. Fit is assessed against stated mandate on a case by case basis.
Tell us the stage, the amount, the instrument and what the capital funds. Where the requirement is defined and the evidence exists, we will tell you quickly whether we can be useful.
If your mandate covers solar, set out the criteria you apply. Introductions are made only against them.
